About the Author
Ma Lai was born in 1968 and published his first book, I'VE TURNED INTO A DRAGON!, at the age of 27 to much critical acclaim. He has devoted himself since to his writing and illustrations. He has won almost every major prize for children’s literature in Taiwan, and has had three books take the top on the Eslite Bookstore yearly bestseller list for picture books. His works have also been translated and published in Mainland China, Korea, and Japan. He was invited as guest speaker by International Institute for Children’s Literature, Osaka in 2007. He and his wife now run a picture book gallery in Taitung, putting on regular events to excite the imaginations of children from all over the island.
